Biography
Hugo Weber is serving as Director of Public Affairs for Mirakl, the global leader of marketplace software solutions. Mirakl provides the best-in-class technology, expertise and ecosystem to retailers and B2B players to fight back against tech giants.
As a seasoned public policy professional, Hugo is working alongside legislators at local and European level to shape an efficient regulation, which allows room for innovation and competition.
Before joining Mirakl, Hugo worked at Danone, the FCMG leader and headed McKinsey & company’s French Office external communications for 5 years.

Biography
Mr. Akshay Baburao Yadav, Teaching Associate, National Law School of India University, Bangalore, has a Bachelor's & Master's in Law with a specialization in Constitutional and Administrative Law from Karnataka State Law University. He was appointed as Research Associate, at Chair on Consumer Law and Practice and was promoted to Teaching Associate at the National Law School of India University, Bangalore (NIRF 1st Ranked University). He has been Deputy Editor of the International Journal on Consumer Law and Practice since 2020. He is qualified as an Accredited Mediator.
He has presented various research papers at National & International Conferences & Seminars and has published his works specifically on Consumer Law, Tobacco Control Laws; Alternative dispute resolution specifically on Mediation and Mental Health Laws. He is also interested in the safety of consumer products. He is assisting Prof. (Dr.) Ashok R Patil, in conducting research on policy changes on several aspects of Consumer Laws. He is a member of the Next Generation Leaders Network at Consumer International since 2020.

András Zsigmond
Legal and Policy Officer, Product Safety and Rapid Alert System Unit, European Commission
Biography
András Zsigmond is a qualified lawyer. He works as a Legal and Policy Officer in DG JUST of the European Commission. He is part of the team working on the revision of the General Product Safety Directive. His specific focuses are on online sales, responsibilities of online marketplaces and new technology products. András also coordinates the work on the European Product Safety Pledge and the linked policy projects. He joined the European Commission in 2011. Previously he worked in the Hungarian public administration on healthcare topics.
