Mr. Akshay Baburao Yadav, Teaching Associate, National Law School of India University, Bangalore, has a Bachelor's & Master's in Law with a specialization in Constitutional and Administrative Law from Karnataka State Law University. He was appointed as Research Associate, at Chair on Consumer Law and Practice and was promoted to Teaching Associate at the National Law School of India University, Bangalore (NIRF 1st Ranked University). He has been Deputy Editor of the International Journal on Consumer Law and Practice since 2020. He is qualified as an Accredited Mediator.
He has presented various research papers at National & International Conferences & Seminars and has published his works specifically on Consumer Law, Tobacco Control Laws; Alternative dispute resolution specifically on Mediation and Mental Health Laws. He is also interested in the safety of consumer products. He is assisting Prof. (Dr.) Ashok R Patil, in conducting research on policy changes on several aspects of Consumer Laws. He is a member of the Next Generation Leaders Network at Consumer International since 2020.

András Zsigmond is a qualified lawyer. He works as a Legal and Policy Officer in DG JUST of the European Commission. He is part of the team working on the revision of the General Product Safety Directive. His specific focuses are on online sales, responsibilities of online marketplaces and new technology products. András also coordinates the work on the European Product Safety Pledge and the linked policy projects. He joined the European Commission in 2011. Previously he worked in the Hungarian public administration on healthcare topics.

Alan S. Abrahams is an Associate Professor in the Department of Business Information Technology, Pamplin College of Business, at Virginia Tech, and an Associate Director of the Executive PhD Program. He is also a member of the Affiliated Faculty at the Johns Hopkins University, Bloomberg School of Public Health, Center for Injury Research and Policy.
Dr. Abrahams's primary research interest is in developing text analytic techniques for detecting product safety concerns. His research has analyzed consumer postings for multiple Fortune 50 and NYSE-listed retailers and manufacturers, and has addressed diverse industries including, amongst others, consumer products, home appliances, food, over-the-counter medicines, medical devices, and automotive.
Dr Abrahams is a Senior Editor of Decision Support Systems, and has published more than 40 peer-reviewed articles in diverse journals, including Decision Support Systems, Production & Operations Management, Risk Analysis, Safety Science, and others.
Dr Abrahams began his teaching career in the Department of Informatics at the University of Pretoria. He subsequently taught undergraduate and MBA classes for in the Operations and Information Management Department at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He has taught on the Business Information Technology program at Virginia Tech since 2007, again at both the undergraduate and Executive MBA levels. Dr Abrahams has also held a Bualuang ASEAN Fellowship from Thammasat University, Thailand.
Dr Abrahams holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Cambridge, and has a Bachelor of Business Science degree with honors in Information Systems from the University of Cape Town.
